What Do We Do?

Welcome to the VFW Auxiliary, Post 467 website. For those who ask “What does the VFW Auxiliary actually do?” I would like to answer that question.

Welcome to the Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States Auxiliary.  We are an organization consisting of fathers, mothers, sisters, brothers, sons, daughters, grandfathers, grandmothers, grandsons, granddaughters and spouses of those persons, both male and female that have honorably served in the Armed forces of the United States. We believe in Americanism, which has been defined as an unfailing love of country; loyalty to its institutions and ideals, eagerness to defend it against all enemies, undivided allegiance to the flag, and a desire to secure the blessings of liberty to ourselves and posterity.
We serve and support the veterans, active duty soldiers and their families of the United States. For, they are the ones that put their lives on the line to allow us the daily freedoms we enjoy.

The VFW Auxiliary exists to help honor, serve and assist our many Veterans of this country who have given so much to assure our freedom.  The VFW Auxiliary raises monies, so that we may reach our goal of supporting our veterans, by conducting fund raisers throughout the year.  We do this in honor of the sacrifices and commitment of every man and woman who has served in uniform.

Monies raised are used to support the various hospitals and clinics that are caring for our Veterans.  In addition, as we are a non-profit organization, funds raised are used to support our communities, ongoing cancer research, our community youth, needy families, the VFW National Home for Children; etc. and by request for other needy organizations

Our meetings are scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on the first Monday of each month and are conducted at the local Westminster VFW Post.
