What Do We Do?

Welcome to the VFW Auxiliary, Post 467 website. For those who ask “What does the VFW Auxiliary actually do?” I would like to answer that question.

The VFW Auxiliary exists to help honor, serve and assist our many Veterans of this country who have given so much to assure our freedom.  The VFW Auxiliary raises monies, so that we may reach our goal of supporting our veterans, by conducting fund raisers throughout the year.  We do this in honor of the sacrifices and commitment of every man and woman who has served in uniform.

Monies raised are used to support the various hospitals and clinics that are caring for our Veterans.  In addition, as we are a non-profit organization, funds raised are used to support our communities, ongoing cancer research, our community youth, needy families, the VFW National Home for Children; etc. and by request for other needy organizations

We would like to invite you to become a member of our organization.  The qualifications are that you are an active, inactive or retired military member, who has not served in a foreign war, or you have a family member who did serve in a foreign war.  Statisics show for every one veteran, as many as five relatives could also join as new members and it is very affordable to join.  Those interested in joining our active organization may download and complete the application form from this website and mail it to the address noted on this website.  Please include a copy of the Veteran’s DD-214 (discharge papers).  Join us in helping give back to our soldiers who have fought for our freedom.

Our meetings are scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on the first Monday of each month and are conducted at the local Westminster VFW Post.

Our Post website will soon be fully active and can be referenced for any schedule changes, planned functions, contact information; etc.  You can also call the Post at 410/848-9888.
